Commodities are physical products, such as soft (e.g.: coffee, cocoa, sugar, etc.), agricultural products, metal and energies which are purchased and sold through exchanges. One commodity contract is understood to be an agreed measurement of the product, and most commodity contracts expire at a fixed date, meaning they must be closed on or before the expiration date.
