Understanding Chart Patterns – Head and Shoulders

A chart pattern is basically a distinct and unique formation appearing on a stock chart that provides some indication of the future movement of any particular stock price. This is used to determine whether an investor should buy or sell their stock. While there are a number of different patterns that are recognized in stock pricing charts, one of the most widely recognized among these is the head and shoulders pattern.
